Maternal Health Conditions

• High Blood Pressure & Preeclampsia – Severe hypertension can lead to complications, making a C-section necessary.
• Gestational Diabetes – Increased risks of large baby size (macrosomia), making vaginal delivery difficult.
• Heart or Kidney Disorders – Certain pre-existing conditions may make labor unsafe.
• Infections – Conditions like HIV or active genital herpes may necessitate a C-section to prevent transmission to the baby.

Fetal Complications

• Fetal Distress – When the baby shows signs of oxygen deprivation during labor.
• Abnormal Fetal Position – Breech (feet-first) or transverse (sideways) positions may require a surgical delivery.
• Intrauterine Growth Restriction (IUGR) – When the baby is not growing properly in the womb, requiring an early or immediate delivery.

Placental Issues
